I have played violin since the age of seven, reaching Grade 8 in under four years — a foundation that shaped my technical precision and lifelong relationship with the instrument. Equally at home on the concert platform and the club stage — I have performed electronic violin in live club environments — I welcome students from both classical and contemporary backgrounds.
Violin
Violin is my primary instrument and I teach to advanced level. Lessons cover tone production, intonation, bow technique, musicality and repertoire, building a strong technical foundation alongside genuine musical expression. ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation is available, though students are not required to work towards examinations.
Viola and Cello
As a multi-instrumentalist, I extended my string playing to viola and cello, and teach both to intermediate level. These lessons are well suited to players who have a foundation and want to develop their technique, musicality and repertoire further — including exam preparation if desired.
